#When to oppose equals #denying facts

- visibly roads built, because I am opposition there is no road project done

- thousands of schools built, as I am opposition for me the schools are not simply there

- thousands of health centers built and functioning, for I am opposing EPRDF no such services. It is simply a lie

- electric generation has grown by thousands of MW, for there are few blackouts it is a propaganda though the dams are visible

- tens of thousands are joining universities, simply because I am opposition it is a sign of crumbling quality of education

- Ethiopia has become influential in Africa, as I am opponent I simply say it is weaker than Hailesilassie period

አሁን መለስ የቀረው ይቅር እንደው ለነገስታቱ የሚከትቡትን ያክል የሚከትቡለት ስኬቶች ብልህነቶች ድሎች አተውለት ነው ወይስ በሱ አመራር ወቅት የተከሰቱ ድክመቶች ነገስታቱ ከሰሯቸው ስህተቶች ገዝፈው ነው ወዲያ መንደር ያሉ ወዳጆቻችን በዘከርነው ቁጥር ምርር ብለው የሚያለቅሱት

እነሱም አልነበሩ የትኛውም ንጉስና መሪ ከነችግሩ ሊያስመሰግነው በሚገባው ሊታወስ ሊደነቅ ይገባዋል እያሉ ሲሰብኩን የነበሩት

ዘክሩ ብለን አላስገደድን በገዛ የመዘከር መብታችን ለምን ይነተርኩናል

በርግጥ ሰውየው የሰሜኖቹን በመላው ሀገሪቱ የነበረ የማስተዳደር ስራ የየአካባቢው ሰው ራሱን ለማስተዳደር አያንስም በሚል ህገመንግስታዊ ድንጋጌና ፈሊጥ የየብሄሩን ተፈጥሮ የሚያከብር አሰራር ደንግጎ በስንቱ ተሿሚና ተጠቃሚ ጉሮሮ ላይ ቆሟል

Little problems EPRDF need to end for good

I think it is time to be equal to the mottoes we promote "unity in diversity". We have made it right in terms of making right the bigger part of the pie or nearly the whole circle. But inside the circle, there are error dots that illustrate the failures we have not solved so far.

One such failure is deliberate imposition of languages on people living in regions other than their ethnic origin.

Ethiopian constitution essentially enshrines peoples right to govern themselves and use their own language in offices, schools and courts.

 

Yet small but significant portions of the people living in other regions have not been fully provided with this constitutional right of theirs. For example, largely Amharic speaking people in other regions are not allowed to learn their education and get official services in their own language, while the constitution allows it to be so.

Ethiopian Free‬ Media, ‪News,‬ & ‪Credibility‬

‎Reporting the bad news whether it is right or wrong, "Ethiopia is in crisis, democracy is hijacked and there is this harassment" and bla bla appears to be dependable, free media journalism.

Reporting the good even while it is true, said to be, by some, as if it were fabrication, opportunism and blind loyalism to the ruling EPRDF.

Is that how news should be measured? Is it how we appraise the media?

#Ethiopian by choice #Jawers are still confused

The Jawars still think their Ethiopian citizenship is imposed. They are still confused in understanding racial identity and citizenship.

Let's agree King Minilik included various regions and races by force in the boundary we have today, which we call Ethiopia. In every part of the world boundaries are not either god-made or made of choice; they were formed by wars and subsequent agreements like it was in Ethiopia.

Despite this, the large majority don't consider their citizenship is imposed. What most logical politicians and responsible citizens do is to work to form a functional democracy and governance that serve the people leaving the past to rest with proper, mature discussion.

Had old Ethiopian leadership failed to establish good governance, which of course it did fail, the point then and today is to fix the failure in leadership. The problem was not and is not the unity we have accomplished; the problem is with the way we perceive the people of this country and on how we lead them.

I do think nobody had the chance to choose its citizenship. What was possible and is still possible at best is to make the unity work best for the people, us.

Imposed or chosen isn't the point. If we make this an issue, then, it isn't a big deal; we can simply choose the Ethiopian citizen we are and work to sort out the failures we have not so far resolved despite regime changes.

#Ethiopia Emulating Middle East?!

I don't believe Ethiopia learns anything good from the Middle East on religious tolerance. We have a lot to share to them instead of taking lessons from them.

Being bank rolled and driven by countries and people from the Middle East is shame. Let them settle their issues. They don't even properly tolerate each other and properly respect the rights of women.

The only lesson we may learn from the Middle East is the religions, as they were the source.

We have another lesson to learn from them too. To keep religion out of politics, otherwise terror and chaos will rein in our country like it is with them if we mix religion with politics.
