Ethiopian Free‬ Media, ‪News,‬ & ‪Credibility‬

Reporting the bad news whether it is right or wrong, "Ethiopia is in crisis, democracy is hijacked and there is this harassment" and bla bla appears to be dependable, free media journalism.

Reporting the good even while it is true, said to be, by some, as if it were fabrication, opportunism and blind loyalism to the ruling EPRDF.

Is that how news should be measured? Is it how we appraise the media?

When a media cries with us our frustration, we call it free media; and when a media leaves aside our cries, we label it as it were serving the incumbent.

Does that mean to threaten the media either be with us to be named free media or leave us aside and be judged to be opportunist serving the incumbent? It does mean so.

After all this is rubbish thinking pattern; how on earth do we say we are demanding to have free/independent media while we act and speak so?

For the record, I don't believe there is free media in any part of the world except in the mind of the delusional.

There could be independent media that determine their stories yet in the eye of the paradigm they share with a certain political group.
