Benishangul Gumuz revoked the Eviction of Amharas from the State

I learned Benishangul Gumuz Regional State revoked the decision of the districts that evicted farmers of Amhara region origin.

The Regional State in consultation with Amhara Regional State call up on those who have been evicted to welcome back to where they live with no conditions.

The decision of the officials in the district could be to protect the forests and the land in the region; but it takes, the report I heard say, coordinated effort to effectively resolve those concerns.

It is not about evicting communities; it is about halting the trend of migration looking for farm land with concerted effort, it says.

I am happy the two regional states have come to such consulted solutions to end the misery the communities have gone through since they left their area.

It is to be recalled over 5000 people of Amhara origin left the state. Now all of them are invited to go back and resume their life there.

The report even try to show how the two regions are working in close cooperation. It also says the state doesn't have anything against Amhara people there; that is why it indicates Amharas are serving as senior officials across the state.

I do appreciate those who voice their concern to essentially resolve the plight of those evicted. Yet end to the political opportunism that swirl around this issue.

It is nice to find a sustainable resolution to such matters through the parliament, Federal Affairs Ministry and I learned Benishangul Gumuz regional state revoked the decision of the districts that evicted farmers of Amhara region origin.
